Our New Parish Mission Statement

Father John has been working with the Strategic Planning committee to create a 5 year plan for our parish. And part of their work has been creating a new mission statement for St. Aloysius. We are excited to share it with you and hope that it draws us all into action for our faith community. For more information about the work of the Strategic Planning Committee pleas contact the parish office.

We are a Catholic parish in Pewee Valley, Kentucky. Our mission is to bring souls into communion with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit through worship in the sacraments with love and service to one another.

Changes in COVID precautions

With the rapid decline in Covid numbers, we have eased some of our previous precautions. The Archdiocese of Louisville has adopted a “mask-optional approach to parish liturgies,” and so beginning March 12/13 our parish will as well.  Those in the assembly as well as ministers certainly have the option to wear a mask if they choose, but it will no longer be required.
Also we will no longer sanitize the pews after each Mass. Thank you to all who stayed after Masses to help with this task.   Your service is greatly appreciated.

Received a Suspicious Email: Here is What to Do.

We have been notified that parishioners have been receiving emails that say they are from Fr, John and other members of the staff, but turn out to be spam.  We know that this is quite a nuisance for our parishioners and we are doing everything we can.  We have a few things you can do when you receive one of these forged emails.
First, if you receive any suspicious looking emails from Fr. John or a St. Aloysius staff member, look at the sender’s email address.

All emails associated with our parish end in @staloysiuspwv.org.

If the email ends in anything else it is a fictitious email.  Do not click on any of the links found within the email.

Second, you should block the email sender and mark the message as spam.  These are options that are most likely in a drop down menu on your email.  After you have done that you can delete the original email.

Thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we strive to find a solution to the this ongoing problem.

Recently the Archdiocese of Louisville announced that anyone working regularly with children refresh their Safe Environment Training every five years.  While a member’s initial training will still require an individual to attend the in person training, the Archdiocese of Louisville has partnered up with Catholic Mutual Group to offer an online refresher only training.  For a detailed description of how to enroll please visit https://bit.ly/3KKjTa3.
