Worship
As Catholics, worship through the liturgy of the Mass is at the heart of all that we believe. Worship ministries serve the St. Aloysius faith community in the areas of private and public worship. Private worship is a commitment to personal and communal prayer time to build up the Body of Christ. Public worship is centered on the Sunday Eucharistic celebration and other special liturgical events. Many opportunities are available for those who feel called to take an active and often visible role by serving in the Sunday Eucharistic celebration. Other opportunities are available for those who feel called to serve in a supportive, behind the scenes role in the areas of both public and private worship.
Children’s Liturgy of the Word
The Children’s Liturgy takes place during the Sunday 11:00 a.m. Mass all year round. Children ages Kindergarten through 2nd grade start in church with their family and then are dismissed by the Priest. The children participate in their own age appropriate “church” in a room in the church and then return to the regular church during collection. Registration is required through the parish office. Parent involvement is requested to help guide the children during the lesson.
Eucharistic Adoration
Eucharistic Adoration offers all parishioners the opportunity for personal prayer and reflection in the presence of Jesus Christ in the form of the Blessed Sacrament. Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament takes place every Tuesday from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm., and Sunday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm in the Chapel. New Adorers are always welcome and are invited to commit to a specific hour of prayer each Tuesday and Sunday. Those who cannot commit to a regular weekly hour may sign up as a substitute.
