Social Concerns CommitteeThe Social Concerns Committee is one of the six coordinating committees of the parish. Members of the committee are nominated for three-year terms. The purpose of the Social Concerns Committee is to uncover and serve the physical, mental and emotional needs within the parish and to sponsor selected peace and justice activities outside the parish. They are in charge of educating the parishioners on various national social issues and how we as Catholics should react to each situation. Topics such as respect for life, hunger, the homeless, illiteracy or any subject dealing with social injustice can be addressed to this committee. The committee is comprised of “at large” members and includes the following sub-committees:
