Small Christian Communities

Small Christian communities are ongoing, communal experiences that bring the presence of Jesus Christ to everyday life.  In communion with the Parish and the larger church that gives them purpose, these communities provide opportunities for acceptance, support and growth of the faith lives of its participants.

Parishioners gather in private homes for fellowship and discussion about how their Catholic faith is lived.  Experiences of prayer and discussion of the teachings of the Church are the primary functions of these communities.  Through faith sharing, study of scripture of other reading, these small groups provide to their members support and motivation to become more active in the larger parish.  Through maturity and the movement of the Holy Spirit, they bring about a commitment to evangelization, Christian service and revitalization of the faith lives of those around them.
